This policy explains what personal information M&S Fabrication collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, and your rights over it. We keep it short and only collect what we need to quote for and deliver your work.
Who we are
This website is run by M&S Fabrication Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14567217). Our registered office is 1st Floor, 107 Lees Road, Oldham, OL4 1JW. We are the data controller for the information described here.
Questions about this policy or your data: enquiries@msfabrication.co.uk or 01457 371246.
What we collect
- Enquiry and quote forms: your name, company, email address, phone number, the details of your project, and any drawings, DXF files or photos you choose to attach.
- Email and phone: whatever you send us or tell us when you contact us directly.
- Website usage: only if you accept cookies, Google Ads records which pages you visited and whether you sent an enquiry, so we can see which adverts work. See Cookies below.
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive information such as health or financial details.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and discuss your project. This is a step you have asked us to take before entering a contract.
- To carry out, deliver and invoice the work if you go ahead, as part of our contract with you.
- To keep proper business and accounting records, as the law requires.
- To measure how our adverts perform, only where you have given consent through the cookie banner.
We will never sell your information or add you to a marketing list without asking.
Who we share it with
We only share information with services that help us run the website and reply to you:
- Netlify: hosts this website.
- FormSubmit: delivers form submissions and attachments to our inbox. It is based outside the UK, so your form data passes through its servers on the way to us.
- Our email provider: stores the enquiries we receive.
- Google: advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies.
- Vimeo: plays the video on our home page, with tracking switched off.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, it does so under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law. We may also share information if the law requires it, or with our accountant for bookkeeping.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within two years. If you become a customer, we keep job and invoice records for six years after the work is finished, as required for tax purposes. Drawings and files are kept for as long as you might need repeat parts, and deleted on request.
Cookies
We only use cookies that need your permission for advertising measurement, and they are switched off until you click Accept. If you reject, the website works exactly the same; Google receives only anonymous signals without cookies, which cannot identify you.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ms-consent | This website (stored in your browser) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected cookies | Until you clear it |
| _gcl_au, _gcl_aw | Google Ads | Measures visits and enquiries from our adverts. Only set if you accept. | Up to 90 days |
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where we no longer need to keep it
- stop or restrict how we use it, or object to it being used
- move it to another provider in a usable format

Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first and we will put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the way we handle information changes. Last updated 13 October 2026.
